Try your hardest not to scratch. Eczema can really make you uncomfortable a lot. The more scratching you do, the more needs to be scratched, though. You can damage your skin this way, and might even cause it to become infected. Use as much moisturizer as you can and use a cold compress.
Some researchers have linked eczema to a Vitamin D deficiency. Therefore, a little bit of sunlight may help your condition. Do not go overboard, however. Spend about ten minutes in the sun each day. If you are going to be out longer than that, apply sunscreen and go about your business.
Moisturize as often as you can. You can use moisturizers to really help control eczema. You definitely want to moisturize after you have taken a bath. Your moisturizer should not contain fragrances, chemicals, or other additives. These can make your skin get irritated. Creams or ointments work better.
